Seeing Reason Tool reflection
I see the seeing reason tool enhancing my student’s higher order thinking skills. I have run similar activities with students using whole class brainstorming but students independently constructing the connections between cause and effect. Using the tools in teams will definitely increase collaboration between students and when reporting back on their finding increase communication across the whole class.
I found some connections difficult because of the limitation of the tool (only has increase) for the factor. After being annoyed trying to figure out how to rename factors to account for this, I realised that in fact this was promoting deeper thinking in its self. If students are made aware of this it should be a good thing.
